| About us | The Machan Trust is a long standing and highly respected local charity based in the community of Larkhall. Our particular focus is on communities that face significant challenges including Hareleeshill, Strutherhill, Ashgill and Netherburn, however we are open to all members of the community. Our ethos is to be inclusive, therefore removing stigma and working for the whole community including those from ethnic minorities and the LGBTQI+ community. Our services include breakfast, lunch, after school and family groups, where participants take part in learning through fun and interactive activities. Our activities aim to raise aspirations, teach and build skills and promote community connection and resilience, amongst all our members. | Our Wish | Our wish is to obtain stationery for the pupils who attend our daily after school study group at Larkhall Academy and to provide our primary school children with back to school packs. We purchase pens, highlighters, erasers, notebooks, rulers, pencil cases etc, and paper for use in our groups and breakfast club activities. The total cost for these goods was £1500. We would be happy to have goods supplied or a receive a donation to purchase goods. |
