| About us | Childcare in the Community is a not for profit organisation that provides flexible mobile crèche, nursery care and out of school care services for children from birth to 16 years of age, throughout the Hamilton area. Our services are at the heart of the communities we support, providing a range of childcare to the most vulnerable children. Our day care centre is based in the Whitehill Neighbourhood Centre, we are within walking distance of the families and children we support. Our afterschool care facilities are spread out across the locality and our mobile crèche services provide care across both South and North Lanarkshire communities. |
| Our Wish | Due to recent demands to extend our mobile creche services and through feedback from our families, we have concluded that we require a minibus, in order to further develop and thrive. We are expanding to meet the needs of our key partners for whom we provide a vital service, whilst they are providing support and wellbeing opportunities for the most vulnerable members of the community. To date we have secured £21.5k from various trusts and businesses, but we still need to secure £1500 to meet our target of £23k for the minibus we have sourced from our research. |
