| About us | Skills Exchange SCIO work with local people who are unemployed and disadvantaged young people who are struggling to move into the world of work. Many of the people we work with have additional support needs or poor mental health and many older participants are socially isolated and finding it difficult to get back into activities after the pandemic. We provide advice, guidance, support and training courses in life skills, personal development, mental health and wellbeing and employability. We also provide job clubs and job searching assistance and link with other third sector organisations and employers to provide work placements and volunteering opportunities. Although based in East Kilbride we also work in Blantyre, Clydesdale and Larkhall. |
| Our Wish | Due to the current IT equipment we use to support the individuals within our service being old and unable to update to the latest software needed we are in need of some new IT equipment to allow us to provide the best and most efficient service from us. Unfortunately, at the moment we aren’t in a financial position to replace these and they are a vital part of the services we deliver. We would like an organisation or business to support us with roughly 20 Laptops or any other equipment such as iPads etc. This would allow us to keep delivering our vital service for the community and support more people into employment, training or education. |
