Idea	More benches and flowers in Blantyre public park.
Response	We do have some benches within our public parks. However, need to carefully consider all requests for benches as they can, on some occasions, simply become gathering points for youths which can lead to anti-social behaviour and, depending on the location, can then become an issue for those residents living nearby. The council has been reducing the number of flower beds throughout the authority in recent years and are also looking at removing more of these flower beds and replacing them with more sustainable planting.
