SummaryThe council intends to replace its existing Electronic Document and Records Management System with three others:

1. an EDRMS and case management system for Planning and Building Standards
2. an EDRMS and case management system for Benefits and Revenue
3. a corporate EDMRS for the whole council

As this involves the introduction of new technology and the storage and modification of personal and sensitive information within the council a Privacy Impact Assessment has been carried out. It does not involve a new way of handling information, but will involve a change in the way we handle existing information.

This PIA has determined the privacy risks associated with the law in relation to privacy and notes the controls that should be applied to minimise these risks.
