Savings 2016-17 Ace membership increase

Savings 2016-17 Ace membership increase | South Lanarkshire Council
TitleSavings 2016-17 Ace membership increase
Service AreaCommunity and Enterprise
Aims and ObjectivesThe aim of this policy is to continue to offer memberships at an affordable price to our customers.

A 3% increase will be applied across all services within SLLC with the exception of the following where the increase will
be 5%:

Swimming Lesson memberships

ACE (Arts, Crafts and Exercise) membership

The current price for these membership is £22.50 this would increase to £23.65.

An increase in charges is required in order to continue to deliver services to all parts of the community.
ConclusionI would recommend the price increase of 5% for Swimming Lesson and ACE memberships this would allow us to
continue to offer memberships at a cost that is affordable and provides excellent value.

.

We have reviewed current charges and benchmarked with other Local Authorities and Trusts and we believe that the
price increase is within market tolerance. Our Leisure for All concession scheme allows us to provide reduced rates for
customers on low income.

The change to this policy allows us to harmonise our pricing for our junior memberships and will allow us to deliver a
quality service to people within South Lanarkshire.
