| Aims and Objectives | The aim would be to increase the Adult Swim Only Membership over three years to harmonise the price in line with the Health Suite Membership, this would result in the amalgamation of both to create one membership type that would include swimming and health suite. It is proposed that the price will be increased from £14.70 per month to £25 per month and phased in over three years. Year one price would be £17.64 per month, year two £21.20 per month and year three £25.40 per month. We have benchmarked with other Local Authorities/Trusts and this price increase ensures we are compatible to other neighbouring providers. The Health Suite membership price would be frozen in years one and two to allow both prices to harmonise in year three. |
| Conclusion | I would recommend the introduction of this price increase phased in over three years to facilitate the amalgamation of the Swimming Only and Health Suite Memberships, this will allow us to harmonise costs. We anticipate and negative impacts to be minimal as the current concession scheme will apply to reduce the impact on low income customers. This change will allow us to continue to deliver a quality service to the communities of South Lanarkshire. |
