Description of service | The Licensing and Registration Office provides a range of public services. The Licensing service deals with a range of civic licences from taxis and private hire cars to street traders, short term lets and liquor licensing. Taxi and private hire car and driver applications, booking offices and window cleaners are dealt with at the Licensing Office at Fleet Services, 4 Livingstone Boulevard, Blantyre, G72 0BP by appointment only by phoning 01698 717728. The Registration Office undertakes a statutory function on behalf of the Registrar General for Scotland, recording registration information for births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships as well as additional services such as the administration of the school attendance council, school work permits and the Education Appeals Committee. It is an appointment only service for registration business. When you register, you’ll be given an abbreviated extract of the registration free of charge and should you require a full extract, you can request this at the time of registration for which there will be a charge. Additional information | There is on-street parking with disabled bays on Beckford Street and car parks at the Caird Street end of Beckford Street. |
Disabled access | Access to office is via main building reception which has automatic doors. There is a lift to the interview room. There is car parking and toilets available if you are disabled. Induction loop system available by arrangement. |
