| Aims and Objectives | Sets out SLL key commitments and is intended to provide a clear and concise description of our commitments to equality. The action plan for eliminating discrimination and harassment; promoting equality of opportunity and positive attitudes; encouraging participation in public life; and taking steps to account for disabled person in South Lanarkshire. The scheme is a working document which provides advice and guidance to managers and employees in relation to their duties. it pays particular attention to access to and delivery of services and employment matters.

| Conclusion | The scheme has been specifically designed to comply with current equality legislation and has been written with the involvement of members of the community and employees and is intended to impact positively on attitiudes and work and therefore the conclusion of this initial assessment is that there is no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by the equalities legislation, or on community relations.
