---|---|
Council Resource | Social Work |
Service Area | Social Work Resources |
Aims and Objectives | The purpose of the Strategy is to set out our local outcomes and priorities for short breaks over the next three years. The overall vision and aim of this strategy will be to ensure that all agencies work together to improve outcomes for service users and carers through the provision of an increased range of high quality short breaks in relation to assessed need. |
Conclusion | The need for a short break is determined through the assessment process either community care or carers assessment. The type of short break is tailored to the individual needs. Implementation of the strategy, will be to ensure that short breaks are culturally appropriate, therefore increasing the uptake of people from black and minority ethnic communities. There is no adverse impact identified. Therefore a full impact assessment is not required. |
