Aims and ObjectivesThis practice guideline was developed for all staff employed and contracted by NHS Lanarkshire and North and South Lanarkshire Councils who work with adults 16 years and above who have a learning disability.

This document is intended to guide not only nursing and direct care staff but also those staff who during the course of their working hours may regularly or occasionally come into contact with adults with a learning disability. (e.g. drivers, porters, catering or admin staff.)

ConclusionThe conclusion of the initial equality assessment is that there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community.
