Aims and Objectives | The South Lanarkshire Local Plan -Tourism Policies set out the land use planning requirements for the provision of tourist facilities and accommodation in South Lanarkshire. The policies' objectives are to: - Promote South Lanarkshire as a visitor destination - Support the provision of a range of good quality visitor attractions and visitor accommodation - Ensure that the natural and built heritage assets of the area are conserved |
Conclusion | The conclusion of this initial impact assessment is that there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by equalities legislation, or on community relations. This is due to the nature of the Tourism policies which identify the land use planning requirements in relation to the provision of new developments. Detailed design requirements for new developments are addressed in other policies within the Local Plan. Consultation on all Local Plan policies is undertaken in accordance with the requirements of the Town and Country Planning legislation |
