Aims and Objectives | The Disabled Persons' Parking Place (Scotland) Bill places a duty on the Council to regulate all on-street disabled persons' parking bays and all council owned / controlled off-street disabled persons' parking bays. In addition the duty is placed on the Council to encourage private car park operators to regulated the disabled persons' parking bays in thier car parks. All new disabled persons' parking bays require to be regulated, regardless of who controlls them.

Conclusion | The implementation of the Disabled Persons' Parking Places (Scotland) Bill will have a positive affect on those disabled persons with mobility problems and in possesion of a "blue badge" as it will regulate all disabled persons' parking bays such as to prohibit their use by vehilces not dispaying a valid "blue badge"
