Aims and Objectives | In order to comply with the Employment Rights Act (2002) the Council's Policy allows parents and carers to apply for flexible working. In addition the policy enhances the range of options available under the Act for employees to balance work and caring responsibilities.

Conclusion | This initial equality impact assessment has identified the need to collect and analyse monitoring data to enable a full assessment to be completed. An action plan has been developed to do this and a full assessment will be carried out within 12 months.
