Aims and Objectives | The Gender Equality Scheme sets out South Lanarkshire Councils action plan for eliminating unlawful discrumination and promoting equality of opportunity in relation to gender. It is a working document to advise and guide managers and employees in relation to these matters, particularly in relation to service delivery and employment matters.

Conclusion | The conclusion of this initial equality impact assessment is that there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by equalities legislation, or on community relations. The Gender Equality Scheme has been written in close consultation with member of our community and workforce and is intended to positively impact on the attitudes and working practices of those living in South Lanarkshire. The scheme sets out an action plan which is regularly updated and informs the work of each resource. It is a key part of our overall Equality and Diversity Strategy and links closely to our Race and Disability Equality Schemes.
