Aims and ObjectivesThe Charter is intended to provide public information on the Council's vision and values, the corporate standards and the comments, compliments and complaints timescales.
ConclusionThe conclusion of this initial equality impact assessment is that there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by equalities legislation, or on community relations. The Council Charter seeks to inform the residents of South Lanarkshire of the corporate standards set, service specific standards may exist to enhance the corporate standards (particularly communication standards, timescales for responding to comments, compliments and complaints and Freedom of Information requests). The Charter also seeks to inform the community of the Council's vision, values and current objectives. The charter is targeted at the whole community and therefore no groups would be adversely impacted by its publication. The Charter will be available in alternative formats to meet the needs of individuals in the community.
