South Lanarkshire Council’s Community Engagement Team works with communities to help identify priorities and participate in local decision making.  The team are here to listen to and help communities.

The team provide support in:

• Facilitating and supporting the delivery of Neighbourhood Plans;
• Supporting the Community Planning Partnership Board; and
• Are the central interface for communities to communicate with the council and vice versa.

Priorities where they can make the most difference include:

• Working with communities in a variety of ways to ensure the support is appropriate; and
• Prioritise working with communities with the poorest outcomes with an aim to reduce inequality in our most deprived areas.
