Neighbourhood Planning in South Lanarkshire Burnhill

Introduction

Burnhill is a small community located in Rutherglen, on the South Lanarkshire side of the border to Glasgow. It is part of Ward 12, Rutherglen Central and North, and has a population of around 3,300. The area is characterised by a mix of houses and flatted properties, and it is notable for its strong Action Group, which organises various activities for the community. Despite its small size, Burnhill is a close-knit community with a strong sense of local pride and involvement.

Our Place Our Plan – Burnhill sets out priorities and highlights the positive things going on for our community of Burnhill identified by residents. Most members are local residents, however, we are joined by representatives from key local agencies and organisations.
