Countryside rangers

The Countryside Rangers do many things to raise the profile of our open spaces and to improve the area's biodiversity and outdoor access networks.

They:

• organise countryside events and activities to help communities develop projects to improve their local environment
• work with schools and groups
• tell visitors about our natural and cultural heritage
• give advice on planning and outdoor access issues
