A public fireworks display will be held at Strathclyde Country Park on Tuesday 5 November.
Organised by South and North Lanarkshire councils, the 30-minute display will start at 7.30pm with the bonfire lit at 6.30pm.
The Big Feed will have a range of food outlets open from 5.30pm to 9.30pm at the Watersports Centre concourse and the foreshore car park. DJ Elliot Boyce will be providing entertainment around the centre.
Information about the event is available at Noth Lanarkshire Council’s website.
Parking will be available at Hamilton Palace Sports Grounds, Low Parks Museum, South Lanarkshire Council’s overflow car park at the rear of Aldi, and at Keith Street and High Patrick Street. The usual restrictions and fees will be lifted in these car parks for the evening.
The beach car park in the park will be closed and other car parks in the park will fill up early. Vehicles parking in Strathclyde Country Park will be held for some time after the display ends to allow people on foot to exit safely, so drivers are asked to be patient.
Visitors to the fireworks display can also take advantage of a discounted wristband for £10.95 between 5pm and 10pm, which can be booked online at M&D’s website.
