Interested in a Mutual Exchange?
Published: Friday 28 June 2024
High numbers of people in housing need are waiting on a council home.
A mutual exchange may be the best option for some tenants to move to another home.
Council and housing association tenants have the right to apply for a mutual exchange but must first get their landlord’s permission.
The council is member of House Exchange, which is a database of tenants who wish to exchange their home.
If you are interested in a mutual exchange, further information is available on the council website and you can also register your details with House Exchange.
